Cricket Brasil growing in popularity – in “Tamil”
Text and translation by Roberta Moretti Avery
A small documentary broadcast on World sports, in India, was made in Brasilia and despite being mostly in Tamil (language spoken mainly in southern India), it shows that Cricket is gradually growing in Brazil, a country of football.
We have the participation of Matt Featherstone who talks about our beloved sport and at the end we have an interview with Arvind, in Tamil, talking about his experience in Brazil with Cricket, where a lot of expats play with some Brazilians. It also explores the fact that recently there are a lot of development programs in the under-17 and under-19 teams.
In the documentary, it is possible to see images of the National Women’s Cricket Championship and the dispute for the Friendship Cup, which took place in May, at Clube Nipo!
