Pandas are champions of the 5th National Women’s Championship – Brasília Stage

Last weekend, the city of Poços de Caldas hosted the first stage of the VII National Women’s Cricket Championship. The competition was attended by four teams, the Pandas from Poços de Caldas and Mini Pandas, also from Poços de Caldas. Brasília came with São Sebastião and Brasília.
“It was a great event and again we had games of great technical quality in Poços de Caldas, said Matt Featherstone.
Sports Secretary Wellington Guimarães, Paulista, attended the event. “We appreciate the support of everyone who helps the growth of cricket. Very happy with this field on the south side where we managed to hold big events, in addition to the presence of teams from Brasilia who came from afar to play this championship with us “, said Matt.
#ElasApoiam Campaign
This edition of the National Women’s Championship had a record number of participants – it was the weekend with the largest number of women playing cricket in Brazil so far.
And Saturday was the beginning of a Campaign designed by athletes called #ElasApoiam, which aims to bring messages of inspiration, support, positivity to women in Poços de Caldas through the hands of female athletes.
The Campaign has a partnership with several sports and will end with a message distribution event in the city of Poços de Caldas, in early May.
