Whoever accompanied the volleyball in the 90s, knows this name: LEILA BARROS!

An Olympic athlete, Leila played for the Brazilian volleyball team from 1988 to 2008, winning two Olympic bronze medals, in Atlanta (1996) and Sydney (2000), in addition to four Grand Prix titles. Leila is also the creator of Brasília Vôlei, which competes in the Women’s Superliga.

She is also known as Leila do Vôlei, and took over the Secretariat of Sports and Leisure of the Federal District earlier this year. The brasiliense candidate ran for office as a district deputy in the October 2014 elections and received more than 11,000 votes, becoming the first alternate member of the “Fé, Trabalho e Família” coalition.

And our girls were with her, in a chat about Cricket from DF and Brazil – reporting all the difficulties and pleasures of the sport and giving her the Cricket Brasil Feminino shirt.
