Cricket Brasil is preparing to welcome the oldest Cricket Club in the world: the MCC. The MCC was in Brazil in 2008 for games in the country of football and will have a return with the participation of the Senior Men’s Cricket Team and the Carioca Cricket Club.

The Marylebone Cricket Club is the oldest cricket club, founded since 1787 in the English capital and of great influence on the world stage of Great Sport. A year after its founding, the MCC declared the rules of the game and these Laws have been adopted throughout the history of Cricket – even today, these Laws are in the custody of the club and referee to the worldwide Cricket Laws.

MCC’s responsibilities have continued to develop since its founding. Today, the Club’s responsibilities include:

  • ensuring that Lord’s remains a world-class, and globally known field;
  • to promote the Laws of cricket and to ensure that the spirit of the sport is maintained;
  • to promote cricket for the new generations, for the best of the game in the long run;
  • helping to increase the appeal of cricket internationally – not just with your own team on scheduled tours; and
  • maintaining its position as the most active socially competitive club in the world.

The famous team will be in Brazil for games in São Paulo on March 12 and 13 at SPAC (Clube Atlético São Paulo) against the Brazilian Men’s Cricket Team, and in Itaguaí on 16 and 17, at São Fernando Polo and Cricket Club, where he will play against Carioca Cricket Club.

All games will take place at 10am and will have free admission for visitors.
