Directly from Toronto, Cricket Brasil received an illustrious visit from Wade Edwards, Finance and Data Officer, of the International Cricket Council Americas.

Wade was with our Development Director, Matt Featherstone, on cricket development projects. Starting in Brasília, in the satellite city São Sebastião development project, which now teaches 240 children cricket.

They also met with the Indian ambassador to present Brazil’s projects.

Wade accompanied Matt in Minas Gerais to revisit the fastest growing cricket project in the country today. With 1200 children practicing the sport weekly, Cricket Poços de Caldas has become a reference in the country for creating players and the recent victories in the South American U-13, U-17 championships and growing participation in the WSAC champion women’s team show that the project is on its way right!

Between meetings and training, we had the opportunity to test the skills of the ICC representative in what we do best: PLAYING! Wade represented the largest cricket organization in the world in an epic battle against the players of Poços de Caldas and the result is there, in the video below. Look!

We thank Wade for all the support and support to Cricket Brasil and Cricket Poços de Caldas. We are grateful that you are part of the development in our country.

We look forward to the next ICC visit in December, for Level 1 and 2 courses for technicians and teachers!

To the next!
