This weekend featured another edition of the National Women’s Cricket Championship – Brasília Stage. Once again, we counted on the participation of the Cricket teams Poços de Caldas, São Sebastião Cricket Club and the Brasilia team, who returned to their origins with the name that founded the club, Calangas Cricket.

This was the sixth edition of the Championship, which started in 2013 through initiatives by Cricket Brasil and the projects developed in Poços de Caldas and Brasília. This Championship was the revelation of great national players and also a strong weight in the selection of the Brazilian Cricket Team, which will participate in the South American Championship in August, in Bogotá-Colombia.

These events are the result of team effort. And we want a special thanks to the entire ABRAC team that organized the event in an exceptional way – with cafes, lunches, dinners; to coach Victor Poubel for the pre-championship training and hitchhiking to the players, in addition to the SSCC Vice Captain, Elisa Carvalho, who hosted the Poços de Caldas team during the week of the competition and the Captain of the CC, who helped us get to the games and workouts every day! In addition to Anthony, Luciana, Kamal, Roginaldo, Giulia, Luiza and friends for the services of umpire and scorers!

On behalf of all the players: thank you!

Until the next edition.
