With the presence of the president of Caldense, Rovilson Jesus Ribeiro, councilor Lucas Arruda, professor Matt Featherstone and students of the projects, Caldense yesterday delivered a space at the club dedicated only to cricket. The site had already been used for training, but now has a complete structure to receive members and students from projects carried out in the city.
“I am very grateful to the president of Caldense, mr. Rovilson, and his predecessor and current deputy Antônio Bento Gonçalves for supporting our sport. This is our first high level training center in Poços de Caldas and even in Brazil. We don’t have such a structure anywhere and this is a source of great pride for the whole cricket family, ”said Matt Featherstone.

Currently, Poços de Caldas has almost three thousand people practicing the sport in the city and Caldense is one of the main partners. “We are taking care of Poços de Caldas and I can’t get enough of thanking all the partners. Here at Caldense we have several players who are members of the club, who are in the selection and represent our sport very well both in Brazil and in Latin America.

Caldense has the largest number of representatives in the projects and for this reason it is the strongest ally of our sport ”, said Featherstone. President Ribeiro was impressed to learn about the size of the project. “Everything that Matt has been doing is great. He runs after, seeks partners, takes care of everything personally and that is why he has been so successful. I am happy that Caldense is at his side and providing our associates with a competitive and victorious sport such as cricket. The doors are open for new talents to appear and represent Brazil worldwide,” he said.

The cricket has as partners Caixa Econômica Federal – NGO Citizenship and Housing, Athletic Association Caldense, Municipality of Poços de Caldas, Hotel Minas Gerais, Municipal Department of Electricity, Caixa Econômica Federal and ICC Mundial. (PVC)
